Travel Tips

We are experiencing great changes in the way you, the traveling public, will be using the United States air transportation network. The added requirements of safety and security will impose some new constraints on how to use the aviation system. With that in mind, we are offering the following tips on how to get from the start of your trip to your destination, with as little inconvenience as possible. Most importantly, GIVE YOURSELF EXTRA TIME AND PLEASE BE PATIENT. Every procedure we are undertaking is in an effort to ensure that your travel is safe, secure, and efficient.

Getting to the Airport
Please take the time to check local newspapers, public service announcements, and web sites to determine if new procedures have been instituted. Security is everybody's business; please help us to help you.

Take public transportation to the airport whenever practical or feasible. Parking and curbside access are likely to be controlled and limited. Parking availability and measures to control parking facilities are subject to rapid change. Please check with your AIRPORT to determine what procedures are in place and the estimated time you should allocate to participate in these procedures.

At the Airport
Vehicles may be subject to search prior to parking. Please reduce the numbers and types of packages and equipment in your vehicle to those necessary for travel or road safety measures.
