A dual-branded Applebee’s® IHOP® will open at Dallas Love Field (DAL) on January 13, making it the first airport in the world to offer this bold concept.
The new restaurant will allow guests to mix and match from two menus at any time, offering all the classics from IHOP’s world-famous pancakes and breakfast offerings to Applebee’s fan-favorite boneless wings, burgers, and appetizers, under one roof.
Diners will also have the choice of two distinct dining areas – the warm, familiar atmosphere of Applebee’s and the bright, cheerful ambiance of IHOP. The restaurant’s design pays homage to both brands’ iconic personalities with the iconic Dallas skyline as a focal point of the wall décor. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to connect with DAL through photographs that showcase the airport’s storied history.
“Being the first airport to offer a dual-branded Applebee’s and IHOP is a milestone for Dallas Love Field and for our passengers. We’re dedicated to innovation and the customer experience, so whether travelers are craving pancakes or boneless wings, we’re making sure great food is always within reach,” Director of Aviation Patrick Carreno boasted. “This unique concept brings travelers more convenience and a dining experience they won’t find in another airport.”
The joint venture, franchised by Dine Brands to Four Leaf Ventures, is on the public access side of the airport, between the baggage claim area and the TSA security checkpoint. Its operating hours will be from 6 a.m. to the last daily scheduled departure flight, and it will become the latest addition to DAL’s well-stocked and varied concessions program, featuring over 40 shopping and dining options.
