DALLAS — A new deputy director has taken the reins of the Finance, People & Culture portfolio at the City of Dallas, Department of Aviation (DOA).

Antonio Strong joined the department on August 17, bringing over 30 years of experience in finance, accounting, and human resources.

In his expansive leadership position, Strong will oversee various key divisions, including Budget, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Concessions, Parking, Customer Engagement, Community Engagement, Talent & Workforce Development, Marketing and Communications, Business & Commercial Opportunities, and Property Management.

He comes to Dallas from St. Louis, MO, where he most recently served as Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Director of Finance and Administration at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. He is lauded for navigating the airport through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A certified public accountant, Strong also held critical accounting and finance positions at American Water Works, MAY Department Stores, Express Scripts, Emerson Electric, and Unisource Worldwide.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
