Hispanic Heritage Highlight - Jesenia Coblyn
Hispanic Heritage Month 2019 is here! At Dallas Love Field, we’re proud of our diverse staff and want to take this opportunity to feature a few of our Hispanic and Latinx employees.
Today we’re featuring administrative specialist Jesenia Coblyn. Jesenia’s family migrated from the Dominican Republic to Washington Heights, New York, where she was born. Get to know Jesenia below:
Tell us a little about what you do here at Love Field?
Jesenia: I am the Administrative Specialist that supports the Airport Relationship Manager. My role is to keep the internal and external stakeholders well informed with any current events or activities at Dallas Love Field and Dallas Executive Airport.
How long have you worked here?
J: October 15 will mark my one-year anniversary.
What motivates you to get up and get to work each morning?
J: My days are never the same. I am always in awe of the planes, the contributions I give to the DAS team that helps them land and take off safely and I enjoy the diversity of people I see each day.
What is the last movie or tv show you watched?
J: The last TV show I watched was Power.
This year’s theme is “Hispanic Americans: A History of Serving our Nation” – as someone working in public service, what does that theme mean to you?
J: It is very rewarding for me to provide public service. My former positions made it difficult to commit to community service due to time-sensitive projects/deadlines, plus my weekends are busy with children activities. Working for the airport has given me so many volunteer opportunities and enabled me to share the experience with my family.
