Scope and Limits

The Department of Aviation requested a conditional assessment for both Garage A and B at Dallas Love Field Airport. The purpose of this assessment is to inspect, evaluate and test, in order to determine the existing condition of the garages. Repairs needed will then be identified and prioritized to maintain the garages.

Changes and Development

The Department of Aviation initiated a condition assessment in 2014 to identify and
prioritize phased repairs to extend the useful life of Garage A (completed in 1987) and Garage B (completed in 2002). After the condition assessment report was completed in 2015, it was determined design effort is necessary to address the deficiencies.

Deck infiltration, structural cracks, and terminal curbside congestion.

The contractor has begun pre-construction activities and is mobilizing materials on-site.
Repairs are expected to start in late July.
