Dallas Love Field Airport
Home MenuAir Quality & Climate
Located in an ozone non-attainment region like North Central Texas, reducing emissions plays a critical role in improving local air quality, protecting public health and addressing global climate change. In partnership with the City of Dallas, we’re actively working to meet regional air quality requirements and align with national standards. We also take a comprehensive approach to carbon management based on coordinated strategies such as energy conservation, efficient vehicles and equipment, and renewable energy sourcing to reduce our overall footprint.
Sustainability Master Plan Goal
By 2040, the Department of Aviation aims to achieve net zero carbon, characterized by a reduction of at least 90% in emissions from the 2015 baseline, with residual emissions balanced by carbon removals.
Our operations are carbon neutral, and we proudly maintain Level 4 certification under the Airport Carbon Accreditation program, recognizing our leadership in managing and reducing airport-related carbon emissions through measurable long-term strategies.
We’re rightsizing and upgrading our fleet to low-emission vehicles, including hybrid and electric models, to enhance efficiency, improve air quality and reduce emissions around the airport.
To support cleaner transportation choices, electric vehicle charging stations are available throughout Parking Garages A, B and C.
