Dallas Love Field Airport
Home MenuMaterials
From airfield construction to everyday maintenance and office supplies, managing materials responsibly is essential to how we serve our passengers and support sustainability. We’re embracing circularity, the practice of using resources efficiently, reducing waste, and finding ways to reuse materials whenever possible. This approach not only helps preserve natural resources but also prevents pollution and reduces the cost and impact of landfill disposal.
Sustainability Master Plan Goals
ZERO WASTE BY 2040 The Department of Aviation will achieve zero waste, defined as diverting at least 90% of generated waste materials from landfill disposal through means such as material reuse, recycling, or composting.

Sustainability In Action
Waste bins throughout the terminal are separated into landfill and recycling particles to facilitate more convenient and effective waste disposal.
Strategically placed liquid collection stations provide passengers with a convenient option to drain and recycle their bottles prior to accessing the TSA Security Checkpoint, thereby avoiding landfilled waste.
In partnership with the Dallas community, we’ve supported a Boy Scout Eagle Project that placed a heart-shaped plastic bottle recycling bin at the Dallas Love Field curbside, offering travelers a convenient and inspiring way to recycle.
